Charm Studio Guide
You can choose between two styles for your charms: our classic Design your own necklace (DYO) option or the Made-for-you Charm necklace.
Please review the guide thoroughly before making your choice, as we’re unable to assist with incorrect selections. Keep in mind that the (DYO) option is limited to specific chain styles.
Made-for-you necklace
**Charms permanently attached to the chain using jump rings**
You can either create your own layout using the guide below or let us choose the arrangement for you. Each charm will be spaced evenly with a link between them, and once they’re set, the layout can’t be changed.
To indicate the order of your charms, please include a note in the 'order notes' section at checkout. Use the numbered guide to clarify your preferences, starting with the charm you want in the center, followed by the others from left (1) to right (7) to prevent any misunderstandings.
You can select as many charms as you wish, but for the best visual impact, we recommend a maximum of 11. An odd number of charms will help create a balanced look around the center charm. Larger charms should be placed in the center, with smaller ones positioned on the outer edges; dimensions for each charm are provided in their descriptions. Please note that any changes to the charm order must be made within 24 hours of your purchase by emailing info@basoajewellery.co.za along with your order number.
Design your own necklace (DYO)
**Interchangeable Style with Plain Chain**
In this style, charms can be easily added or removed by sliding them on and off the chain. Each charm features its own jump ring that fits over your selected chain. There’s no need to specify a design layout for the order of your charms, as you can adjust them freely. Once on the chain, charms will sit closely together, similar to a traditional charm arrangement, rather than in a spaced layout like our Multi Charm style. This (DYO) option is available only for select chain styles.
**Interchangeable Style with Anchor Clasp Chain**
In this version, charms can be added or removed using the anchor clasp located at the front of the necklace. Each charm also comes with its own jump ring to attach to the anchor clasp. As with the plain chain option, you won’t need to provide a layout for your charms since you can swap and change them as you like.
